"GETTING AHEAD" Energetically

I love this concept that I have learned from hours of listening to Abraham Hicks recordings (if you haven't checked them out-- there are HOURS of free recordings you can access on youtube-- many with adorable little cartoons!)

The whole idea of "getting ahead" of something energetically, is basically YOU telling yourself and a situation in advance, the emotional result you want from it. Think of it as priming a wall or laying the groundwork. You get a better finished product when you take the time to do those things, right? Well same goes for your energy.

Before an important task, before my day starts, before ANYTHING I want to go well, I like to set my alarm for 10-15 minutes to close my eyes and begin CREATING the experience I want to have in that designated time period or for that situation/conversation etc. I think thru that event unfolding EXACTLY how I want it to, in FULL detail with extra focus on the positive emotions of it. I think thru what is said and done with TOTAL JOY. If I'm not smiling like a fool-- I know I'm not doing it right. I let the joy of the situation take over my body and my meditation. I let it fill me up with light and energy. I let it shift my mood and even my body language.

What this does is it changes you energetically before you move into your project/moment or whatever it was you are intending a positive experience for. Abraham Hicks refers to it as "segment intending". It's brilliant. It is the perfect way to align with the right focus and goals before anything challenging and anything important in your life. It is basically a rehearsal for the outcome you want-- which helps to attract exactly that.

Try it out with little things. Try it out with big things. It will help you work with joy and confidence which in turn will keep you sharp, creative and in touch with what is really important.

Don't take my word for it-- try it on for size and see how it fits YOU!
