Thanksgiving is a time to focus on gratitude and abundance but most people only seem to "focus" on it superficially. It is easy to SAY you are grateful, and to make your list of things you are thankful for--but if you can REALLY feel the spirit of gratitude, you can not only have a more beautiful holiday, but a more beautiful life.
Have you ever thought about being thankful for something just because others don't have it? Have you ever focused on gratitude with the secondary thought that this moment will go away?
For example, if your brain is thinking:
"I am thankful for my health because there are always possibilities of me being unhealthy"
"I am thankful for my family because one day they won't be here"
"I am thankful for this food because it is possible to starve in this world"
If you find your mind heading into this thought trap, in your gratitude, you are turning away from that pure and loving vibration and focusing on LACK instead of the abundant Spirit that gratitude is meant to be. Gratitude is a beautiful tool for spiritual living-- don't let evil lack thoughts creep in and rust one of your best tools! You need to coat your gratitude in BLIND FAITH!
Gratitude has a vibration. That vibration feels a lot to me like confidence. When we are TRULY grateful for something, we are confident in it's presence in our life. We aren't taking it for granted, we aren't riddled in worry that it will leave us, we are just basking in the JOY and LOVE that it is HERE in our NOW moment, our most perfect and precious moment. When we are feeling thankful with the secondary thought that you might not have something in the future, you are activating thoughts and feelings of LACK and that is discoloring the pure love that is gratitude and weakening your internal magnet for positive life experiences. When you coat your gratitude in FAITH, you can clear your vibration of those lack thoughts and cover it in the CONFIDENCE that you are provided for. That you are eternally loved and looked after. Faith supercharges your gratitude so it can go to work in your life like it is supposed to. Gratitude with any pinch of lack is just missing FAITH.
Gratitude also feels to me like worthiness. You can accept something easily if you feel you deserve it. YOU. DESERVE. THE. ABUNDANCE. THAT. IS. TODAY. You do more for the world with a full cup than an empty one. God fills your cup until it overflows for a reason. It NEEDS to flow out to those around you. You are chosen for that role for a reason so don't second guess God's choices with any thoughts of unworthiness.
Let your gratitude shine today with confidence, worthiness and true unshakeable FAITH. You are worthy of your blessings and have confidence that they are all here for a REASON! The world needs the bright light of gratitude in your heart to overflow and fill its every corner. That is the true work of today.
